Meet the Dad Day

21 December 2010, San Jose Nueva Ecija - We can't really go that far out of town this time that I am home as it is the peak season for many going back to their provinces. We didn't want to get stuck in traffic or not be able to go back because of the lack of transpo, plus the fact that all prices are up during the holidays

6.30am
We departed Baliwag Transit Cubao Terminal for San Jose via SCTEX. I haven't been there for the longest time. The ancestral house hasn't been renovated yet the last time I visited. Even the route was new for me as I got used to taking the route passing through Bulacan. I spent the trip sleeping and watching Survivors on Mir's laptop.

9.30am
We arrived at the terminal in San Jose. We waited for Papa to pick us up, as usual, he was late. Then we bought some flowers before heading to Tatang's resting place. We lit some candles and cleaned up the place a bit then left for our Cardenas residence. There I saw Inang and experienced first hand her depleting memory.







11.30 am
We headed for Papa's San Juan residence. There he cooked pinakbet, tinolang native chicken and fried some fresh tilapia. Good thing we had Coke to help Mir swallow the veggies. hahahahaha

After lunch, ayun, we took funny photos sa bakuran ni Papa.....

Then we went around the farm lands of Papa and on the road, Mir took some very nice photos...

We had to go back to Manila that afternoon. I didn't want to use up all the rest days of Mir, of course, as an agent, he needs all the rest and time for sleep for his next shift week.
